Job summary

Rise Technical Recruitment Ltd is seeking an Electrical Technician for a permanent, hands-on role across Cambridge & Huntingdon. The successful candidate will maintain workshop equipment, support practical delivery and help prepare teaching rigs for student sessions.

The role offers a stable, full-year schedule with 37 hours per week and occasional weekend days/evenings. A Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or NVQ and solid health & safety knowledge are required.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Electrical Installation qualification or NVQ.
• Hands-on experience in Electrical Installations environment.
• Current Health & Safety knowledge in electrical industry.

• Maintain, repair and prepare electrical installation workshop equipment across Cambridge & Huntingdon.

Cambridge & Huntingdon (Commutable from: Ely, St Neots, Newmarket, Royston, St Ives, Cambourne, Histon)

Are you an Electrical Technician looking for a stable, hands‑on role with consistent hours and long-term security? You'll be part of a team supporting learners with well‑prepared, safe, well‑maintained workshop environments. You'll join a department where Health & Safety, organisation and high standards are taken seriously, with varied practical tasks from maintenance through to building and refurbishing training rigs and teaching aids. You'll work across the Cambridge and Huntingdon sites, maintaining and repairing electrical installation equipment, preparing tools and materials for practical sessions, supporting staff during delivery, and managing stock and inventory records. This role suits a job satisfaction motivated person who wants stability, a settled routine, and a reliable employer rather than a "fast-track" progression role.
