Astute's Renewables Team - Junior Field Service Engineer

Astute's Renewables team is exclusively partnering with a utility-scale solar O&M company to recruit a Junior Field Service Engineer for its sites in Bristol, Swindon, and the surrounding areas.

This role offers a salary of £30,000 - £36,000 DOE, a company van, and an excellent opportunity to enter the utility-scale solar industry.

Responsibilities and Duties
  1. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you will:
  2. Assist with planned inspection and maintenance according to legal, technical, manufacturer, and contractual requirements. Gain knowledge in reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and standard operating procedures.
  3. Perform reactive maintenance, fault diagnosis, and resolution promptly.
  4. Carry out site surveys as required.
  5. Compile accurate documentation for internal and external stakeholders in a timely manner.
  6. Maintain detailed records of electrical testing, High Voltage, and safety documents suitable for audit.
  7. Ensure work output meets technical quality, reliability, cost, and productivity standards.
  8. Comply with the company's Health & Safety Policy.
Professional Qualifications

We are looking for candidates with:

  • NVQ Level 3 Electrical Qualifications or equivalent.
  • 17th/18th Edition (preferably).
