Job summary

Tata Steel UK Limited in Port Talbot is seeking a Site Construction Supervisor - Electrical to lead on-site electrical construction activities, supervise subcontractors, and ensure safety and quality across the Invictus Project.

You will coordinate interfaces, check permits and RAMS, maintain records, and report progress to the Project Engineer / Construction Manager. This on-site role requires practical engineering experience and a strong safety mindset.

Qualifications

• Practical experience in construction or installation within an engineering environment.
• Experience with permit-to-work systems and site safety processes.
• Knowledge of health and safety standards (IOSH Managing Safely level preferred).

Responsibilities

• Supervising day-to-day electrical construction activities on site.
• Manage and coordinate subcontractors and site teams to meet project requirements.
• Ensure works are delivered safely, with permits, RAMS and method statements understood.
• Monitor workmanship and quality against drawings and standards.
• Maintain records of inspections, quality checks, and handover documentation.
• Coordinate interfaces with multidisciplinary teams to resolve clashes.
• Plan upcoming works, including resources and permits.
• Liaise with engineering teams for drawings and construction information.
• Track progress and report to Project Engineer / Construction Manager.
• Represent Tata Steel professionally with contractors and stakeholders.
