Job summary

Invictus Group in East London is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to manage safe, reliable operation of critical building services on a continental shift (days and nights). You will perform planned and reactive maintenance, fault finding and repairs to keep systems running and compliant.

The role offers progression toward Senior Engineer and management positions, a strong benefits package, and overtime opportunities. AP bonuses are available alongside a competitive salary.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds or equivalent.
• Experience in commercial, industrial or critical environments.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Experience with planned and reactive maintenance.
• AP experience/qualification is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults efficiently and safely.
• Respond to breakdowns and minimise equipment downtime.
• Carry out routine inspections and testing.
• Monitor and maintain critical electrical infrastructure.
• Complete maintenance records and relevant documentation.
• Work closely with other engineers and operational teams.
• Ensure all works are completed in accordance with health & safety procedures.
• Support contractors and specialist engineering teams when required.
• Participate in emergency response and out-of-hours maintenance as part of the shift team.
