Job summary

Invictus Group is seeking an Electrical Shift Engineer to join our team at a prestigious commercial property in the City of London. You will deliver PPM and reactive maintenance across the building, ensuring electrical systems and plant achieve high standards of reliability and safety.

The role requires an electrical qualification (City & Guilds/NVQ Level 3) and 18th Edition, with experience in commercial building maintenance.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical qualification (City & Guilds, NVQ Level 3 or equivalent).
• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations qualification.
• Experience in commercial building maintenance or critical environments.
• Strong fault-finding and diagnostic skills.
• Good understanding of building services systems and electrical distribution.
• Knowledge of health & safety legislation and safe systems of work.
• Excellent communication skills and a proactive maintenance approach.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and reactive maintenance on electrical systems.
• Fault find, diagnose and repair electrical plant and equipment.
• Maintain and monitor LV electrical systems, lighting, emergency lighting, UPS, generators and building services plant.
• Support HVAC equipment and related mechanical systems when required.
• Ensure all statutory compliance and health & safety procedures are followed.
• Complete maintenance records using the site's CAFM system.
• Liaise with contractors and site management to ensure excellent service delivery.
• Participate in the shift rota and respond to emergency call-outs.
