Job summary

Brightwork in Belfast is seeking an experienced Electrical Shift Engineer to join a busy manufacturing facility. You will be responsible for maintaining and repairing automated production equipment, minimising downtime and ensuring machinery operates safely and efficiently.

You will carry out planned and reactive maintenance, diagnose electrical faults, support PLC fault-finding, and keep accurate maintenance records using SAP/CMMS.

Qualifications

• Time-served Electrical Engineer or equivalent qualification.
• Strong electrical fault-finding experience in a manufacturing environment.
• PLC troubleshooting experience.
• Knowledge of motors, drives, pneumatics and industrial automation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics and technical drawings.
• Experience within FMCG, food, beverage, packaging or manufacturing environments is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned and reactive maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical faults on automated machinery.
• Support PLC fault-finding and troubleshooting activities.
• Maintain packaging, bottling and labelling equipment.
• Work with motors, drives, sensors, relays and control systems.
• Complete maintenance records using SAP/CMMS.
• Support continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Ensure all work is completed to GMP, food safety and health & safety standards.
