Job summary

MSW Engineering Recruitment is seeking an experienced Shift Electrician on a time-served electrical apprenticeship background. You will work mornings, afternoons and nights on an 8-hour rota, with weekend 12-hour days/nights as required, and 9 days off in each 6-week cycle.

The role focuses on electrical and mechanical maintenance in a busy manufacturing plant. Salary is £56,923.78 with holidays incorporated into the shift pattern and extensive life assurance for pension members.

Qualifications

• Time served electrician with an appropriate electrical apprenticeship.
• Experience in heavy engineering and standalone work is advantageous.
• Strong fault finding, repairs and proactive maintenance abilities.

Responsibilities

• Attend breakdowns and carry out overhauls on machinery.
• Implement remedial corrective actions to improve plant availability.
• Provide electrical and mechanical maintenance support in a busy manufacturing environment.
• Collaborate with a small production team to monitor equipment faults and ensure reliability.

Shift Electrician (time served electrical apprenticeship)

Shifts (you will be working Mornings, Afternoons & Nights on a 8 hour shift rota, any weekend shift work on your rota will be 12 hour days or nights. Days off in between shifts are included, you will also receive 9 DAYS OFF at the end of every 6 week cycle).

Are you an experienced time served electrician that is able to work alone covering all aspects of electrical and mechanical maintenance breakdowns (call out cover is provided),

You will be working in a busy manufacturing environment providing checks on equipment and facilities and working closely with a small production team monitoring and supporting on equipment faults and breakdowns where required.

Duties could include; attending breakdowns, carrying out overhauls on machinery, completing remedial correctives and improving the plants availability and reliability by implementing engineering best practice.

A full 6-month familiarity programme of the facility, equipment and process is in place to ensure no engineer ius left to deal with issues that they are not familiar with.
