Electrical Shift Engineer - Manchester

Salary: £38,725

Shift Allowance: £1,275 (total £40,000)

Looking for an Electrical Engineer to join the team based in commercial offices and studios. This is a permanent, full-time role working four days on, followed by four days off.

Responsibilities:

1. Provide all-round engineering support, maintaining building infrastructure, minor installations, and responding to breakdowns.
2. Maintain a detailed understanding of all electrical systems and contingency procedures within the buildings, ensuring compliance with Health & Safety codes of practice.
3. Coordinate daily activities on-site between yourself and the FM management team.
4. Ensure all activities are completed professionally, with a focus on quality, safety, and maintaining 100% uptime.
5. Respond promptly to plant failures, complete assigned tasks, and address abnormal operating conditions and housekeeping issues.
6. Manage operations during your shift, including night shifts, working with subcontractors as necessary.
7. Report any difficulties encountered during engineering activities to the Engineering Supervisor/Manager.
8. Complete all record-keeping functions daily, understanding escalation procedures.
9. Participate in overtime and site coverage as required.
