Job summary

Qualifications

• Fully qualified electrician with substantial experience on fire & security systems.
• Supervisory or team leadership experience within a maintenance or facilities environment.
• Strong understanding of statutory compliance requirements and industry best practice.
• Highly organised with excellent record-keeping and attention to detail.
• Demonstrate strong problem-solving abilities and the confidence to make informed technical decisions.
• An effective communicator who can build positive working relationships with colleagues, contractors, and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Oversee maintenance, compliance, and performance of campus fire and security systems.
• Lead delivery of planned preventive maintenance, inspections, testing, remedial works, and installations by in-house teams and specialist contractors.
• Ensure all activities are completed safely, efficiently, and in full compliance with statutory requirements and University policies.
• Maintain accurate compliance records and support continuous improvement of services.
