Job summary

Advanced Engineering in Luton is seeking an experienced Electrical Service Engineer to join the in‑house engineering team. The role combines international travel to install, commission, service and upgrade rotating equipment such as pumps, motors and generators, with hands‑on site supervision of customers, contractors and supplied labour.

You will work roughly 120 travel days a year, typically 2–6 weeks per assignment, and when not on site you’ll return to the assembly site on a double day shift

Qualifications

• Experience with pumps, rotating equipment or similar industrial machinery.
• Previous field service or site-based experience including installation and commissioning would be beneficial.
• Experience working with high voltages up to 13.8kV and 3.2MW is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Act as main point of contact on site and supervise customer personnel, contractors and supplied labour.
• Travel internationally for installations, commissioning, servicing and upgrades of rotating equipment.
• Work at the assembly site in Luton on a double day shift with early finish Fridays to support overhaul, inspection and testing.
