Job Description

The successful candidate will be based at the head office and will attend client premises for inspections, fault diagnosis, and reporting. Responsibilities include:

1. Reporting to the Service Manager.
2. Carrying out LV Switchboard Inspections, diagnosing faults, and submitting reports.
3. Completing repairs, modifications, and electrical tests.
4. Performing LV Switchboard & Circuit Breaker Maintenance (Marine & Industrial).
5. Interpreting and understanding technical issues from customer inquiries.
6. Liaising with customers verbally and in writing to uphold the company's reputation.
7. Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
8. Conducting site surveys and attending site meetings as required.
9. Maintaining a professional attitude to ensure departmental efficiency.
10. Responding to inquiries and coordinating with service staff and other departments.
11. Updating customer information in service databases.
12. Working within the UK and overseas as needed, including out-of-hours work.
13. Preparing test and site reports.
14. Being reachable from home outside working hours.

Principal Skills and Qualifications

• HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
• Understanding of Control and System products for Electrical Energy Distribution (marine experience is advantageous).
• Excellent verbal communication skills for customer interaction.
• Fault-finding procedures knowledge.
• Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and wiring skills.
• Strong report writing skills.
• Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
