Job Description
The successful candidate will be based at the head office and will attend client premises for inspections, fault diagnosis, and reporting. Responsibilities include:
- Reporting to the Service Manager.
- Carrying out LV Switchboard Inspections, diagnosing faults, and submitting reports.
- Completing repairs, modifications, and electrical tests.
- Performing LV Switchboard & Circuit Breaker Maintenance (Marine & Industrial).
- Interpreting and understanding technical issues from customer inquiries.
- Liaising with customers verbally and in writing to uphold the company's reputation.
- Preparing Risk Assessments and Method Statements.
- Conducting site surveys and attending site meetings as required.
- Maintaining a professional attitude to ensure departmental efficiency.
- Responding to inquiries and coordinating with service staff and other departments.
- Updating customer information in service databases.
- Working within the UK and overseas as needed, including out-of-hours work.
- Preparing test and site reports.
- Being reachable from home outside working hours.
Principal Skills and Qualifications
- HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Knowledge of electrical, electronic, and mechanical systems.
- Understanding of Control and System products for Electrical Energy Distribution (marine experience is advantageous).
- Excellent verbal communication skills for customer interaction.
- Fault-finding procedures knowledge.
- Ability to interpret wiring diagrams and wiring skills.
- Strong report writing skills.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety regulations.
