Job summary

KBR, Inc. is seeking an Electrical Safety Engineer in Glasgow. You will support the safety and operational capability of essential infrastructure within a high-hazard environment.

Your role involves assessing, maintaining, and improving electrical systems, ensuring safety compliance, and contributing to Periodic Safety Reviews. The position is hybrid, requiring 3 days in the office weekly and strong electrical engineering knowledge.

Qualifications

• Broad electrical engineering experience, ideally including HV/MV and LV distribution systems.
• Knowledge of protection systems and Control & Instrumentation (C&I).
• Experience with electrical machines like synchronous motors and diesel alternators.
• Familiarity with Periodic Safety Reviews or similar activities.

Responsibilities

• Support the specification and assessment of electrical infrastructure.
• Produce and review design packages and contribute to safety reviews.
• Assess maintenance procedures and help ensure continued safe operation.
• Define reliability and operational requirements.
