A leading energy company is seeking an Electrical Safety Engineer to ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations. Providing assurance that the ScottishPower Safety Rules (Electrical & Mechanical) are being consistently and effectively applied across all business units and contractors, you will be responsible for rigorous auditing of staff and contractors in the Regulated business, addressing negative trends and implementing appropriate corrective actions.
Offering expert advice to the Networks Business Executive team and line management on electrical safety matters, you will contribute to the production, refinement, and updating of electrical safety rules, procedures, and training programmes, while supporting the delivery of operational training and authorization processes.
You will also lead and contribute to operational safety incident investigations throughout their life-cycle, including representing the company in legal processes where necessary.
What you'll be doing
What you'll bring
Senior Authorised Person experience in a UK DNO or TNO or equivalent, demonstrating technical expertise and good knowledge of Electrical Safety Rules and related policies.
Educated to HNC level or higher in Engineering, or with substantial relevant experience, with a proven track record in technical report drafting, problem-solving, and safety rule compliance improvements.
