Job summary

British Engineering Services Group is hiring an Electrical Remedial Engineer in Crawley. You will perform electrical testing in social housing across the North West and Yorkshire, carrying out remedial works as identified and ensuring high standards of safety and compliance. A company van and pension scheme accompany the role.

You will work with the electrical division, travel as required, and contribute to continuous improvements while maintaining accurate documentation in our CRM system.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in electrical installation work (e.g. C&G 2330, 2360, 2357, 2365).
• City & Guilds 2391 Inspection and Testing or equivalent (2394/2395).
• Demonstrates a positive, inclusive attitude toward customers and colleagues.
• Flexible to overtime during busy periods.
• Willing to work night shifts one week every month.
• Hard-working electrician delivering high-quality service to clients.
• Good level of computer literacy and a valid driving licence.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical testing within social housing in the North West and Yorkshire.
• Test domestic and communal areas and perform remedial works identified.
• Undertake high-quality repairs such as distribution board changes, RCDs and socket changes.
• Possibility to assist on small projects like EV installations.
• Comply with company health, safety and electrical policies and procedures.

• Liaise with customers and supply chain to provide excellent service.

Our expert teams carry out hundreds of essential Electrical Installation Condition Reports (EICRs) and other critical inspections every day, helping customers stay compliant and protected. Alongside this, we are a leading specialist in Electric Vehicle (EV) charging solutions, managing everything from end‑to‑end installation through to ongoing routine safety inspections.

To be considered for this role, you will live within South London and be comfortable travelling across the South West.

What will you be doing?

As a Electrical Remedial Engineer for BES Electrical, you will carry out electrical testing within the social housing industry within the North West and Yorkshire area. Within this role, you will undertake electrical testing in domestic/ communal areas and carry out any associated remedial works identified.

You will:

• Undertaking high-quality electrical repairs and remedial works following inspection, such as, distribution board changes, RCDs and socket changes
• Opportunity to get involved in small projects such as EV installations.
• To comply with company standards of work performance, ensuring implementation and compliance within electrical policies and procedures.
• Ensure implementation and compliance with company Health and Safety policies and procedures.
• Utilise both our CRM system and reporting software to accurately record electrical documentation.
• Liaise with customers and members of our supply chain, ensuring you provide an excellent service.
• Maintain van stocks and provide information enabling the improvements of first time fixes for the area you work within
