Job summary

Wates Group in Crawley seeks an Electrical Qualified Supervisor to join our WPS team. You’ll be the go-to expert for electrical quality, safety and compliance, supporting engineers and our supply chain to deliver great work for residents.

With Level 3 electrotechnical qualifications and solid experience, you’ll ensure all works are certified, inspected and meet high standards, lead toolbox talks, and help new starters settle in while maintaining a strong safety culture.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 electrotechnical or equivalent.
• BS 7671:2018 Initial Verification & Periodic Inspection qualifications.
• Minimum 2 years supervisory experience.
• Strong understanding of housing maintenance, SOR codes and H&S requirements.
• Great communication and proactive teamwork.

Responsibilities

• Act as the go-to expert for electrical quality, safety and compliance, including NICEIC requirements.
• Support engineers and our supply chain with technical advice, checks and guidance.
• Ensure all electrical works are properly certified, inspected and meet high standards.
• Carry out site visits, sample checks and ensure all notifiable works are submitted correctly.

• Maintain CPD records up to date and ensure compliance across the contract.
• Maintain a strong safety culture - protecting residents and colleagues.

What You'll Bring

• Level 3 Electrotechnical qualifications (NVQ / apprenticeship / mature candidate).
