Job summary

Astute People’s Power and Energy Team is recruiting a Quality Manager for a major Bridgwater project. The role oversees electrical quality across the site, develops ITPs, and ensures compliance through inspections and testing. You will close out NCRs, work with subcontractors, and maintain quality records for commissioning and handover.

The position offers a competitive day rate on a 6-month initial contract outside IR35, with a minimum of two days on site per week and extension potential.

Qualifications

• Strong background in electrical construction / installation.
• Proven QA/QC experience on major construction projects.
• Experience with ITPs, NCRs, inspections, testing and defect management.
• Relevant electrical qualifications, ideally NVQ Level 3 Electrical Installation, 18th Edition and/or C&G 2391.
• Experience working with subcontractors and project delivery teams.
• Comfortable working independently on a live construction site.

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee electrical quality activities across the project.
• Develop, review and implement Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs).
• Carry out site inspections and monitor electrical installation quality.
• Identify, manage and close out NCRs, defects and snags.
• Work closely with electrical subcontractors and the wider project team.
• Review testing, inspection and certification documentation.
• Support commissioning, handover and completion activities.
• Maintain accurate quality records using project systems including Viewpoint and Field View.
• Support audits and ensure project quality requirements are maintained.
• Provide practical support and guidance to site teams where quality issues arise.
