Job summary

Astute's Team is partnering with a fast-growing construction company to recruit an Electrical Project Manager to assist with renewables and power sector projects.

The role offers a great salary, company vehicle, and fuel card, with travel to sites as required. You will take ownership of a portfolio of Solar, BESS, EV charging and Substations projects, planning, delivering and reporting throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• 18th Edition.
• City & Guilds 2391.
• Either a certified electrician or qualified electrical engineer.
• Experience on relevant projects (solar, BESS, substation, EV charging, HV works).
• SAP either currently or previously (33kv minimum).
• Strong commercial project management experience.
• Chartership is desirable.

The strategically important Electrical Project Manager role comes with a great salary, company vehicle and fuel card.

Responsibilities and duties of the Electrical Project Manager role

Reporting to the Operations Manager you will:

• Take ownership of a portfolio of works, including Solar, BESS, EV Charging and Substations projects, from start to finish.
• Programming and Planning of works.
• Take commercial and technical responsibility over your projects.
• Subcontractor management and negotiations.
• Regular CVR reporting.
• Providing managerial, commercial and technical support from planning of projects through to handover.

Professional qualifications

We are looking for someone with the following:

• 18th Edition.
• City & Guilds 2391.
• Either a certified electrician or qualified electrical engineer.
• Experience on relevant projects (solar, BESS, substation, EV charging, HV works).

• Strong commercial project management experience.

Personal skills

• A self-starter, and ready to hit the ground running.
• Confident and experienced in running a portfolio of projects.
• Happy to travel, as this role will involve travel to sites.
