Job summary

Preston Recruitment Ltd is representing a leading data centre contractor in Slough, recruiting an Electrical Project Manager to oversee major electrical packages across hyperscale data centre projects. You will manage subcontractors, programmes, budgets and technical coordination from construction through commissioning and handover.

The role requires strong technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure, experience delivering large-scale projects and coordination across multi-discipline teams.

Qualifications

• Proven track record delivering large-scale data centre, mission-critical or technically complex M&E construction projects.
• Strong technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure.
• Experience delivering major electrical packages and managing subcontractors.
• Experience on hyperscale data centre developments is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Manage the delivery of electrical packages across major hyperscale data centre construction projects.
• Oversee the installation of HV/LV distribution systems, switchgear, UPS, generators, transformers and associated critical power infrastructure.
• Coordinate electrical subcontractors, specialist vendors and site teams to ensure programme milestones are achieved.
• Manage project budgets, procurement, cost forecasting and commercial performance.
• Work closely with Mechanical, CSA and Commissioning teams to ensure effective coordination across all project disciplines.
• Review technical drawings, specifications, installation methodologies and project documentation.
• Identify project risks, resolve technical challenges and maintain high standards of quality and safety.
• Oversee electrical testing, commissioning activities, snagging and final project handover.

Preston Recruitment is representing a leading data centre contractor seeking an experienced Electrical Project Manager to oversee the delivery of major electrical packages on hyperscale and mission-critical construction projects in Slough.

Your Remit

You'll take responsibility for the successful delivery of electrical installations across large-scale data centre projects, managing subcontractors, project programmes, budgets and technical coordination from construction through to commissioning and handover.

Who We Want To Speak With

Experienced Electrical Project Managers, Senior Electrical Project Managers and Electrical Contracts Managers with a proven track record delivering large-scale data centre, mission-critical or technically complex M&E construction projects.

You’ll bring strong technical knowledge of electrical infrastructure, experience managing major electrical packages and subcontractors, and the ability to deliver projects within demanding construction programmes.

Previous experience working on hyperscale data centre developments would be highly advantageous.
