Job summary

Progressive in Derby is seeking an Electrical Project Engineer to lead capital projects in highly automated industrial environments across food & beverage and process manufacturing sectors. The role offers remote UK-based working with occasional travel to the Derby office and customer sites.

You will manage electrical and controls aspects, develop URS and review FDS, coordinate with contractors, and ensure on-time, on-budget delivery while maintaining safety and quality across UK and

Qualifications

• Experience in electrical engineering and automation in industrial environments.
• Experience reviewing Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
• Ability to travel UK/international as required.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.

Responsibilities

• Manage electrical and controls aspects of capital engineering projects.
• Develop User Requirement Specifications (URS).
• Review and approve Functional Design Specifications (FDS).
• Review control philosophies and technical design documentation.
• Coordinate electrical, controls and instrumentation activities.
• Support automation and process control system implementation.
• Manage engineering contractors, system integrators and equipment suppliers.
• Engage with clients and provide technical leadership.
• Site surveys and technical assessments.
• FAT/SAT testing and project handover activities.
• Ensure projects are delivered safely, on time and within budget.
