Job summary

Amentum is seeking a Construction/Project Engineer to provide technical, engineering, and planning support for safe and efficient construction aligned with approved designs and standards. You will liaise between design teams, construction supervisors, and project management to translate engineering intent into site activities.

The role reports to Delivery Manager within the TDA framework and involves collaboration with design and craft personnel to drive robust documentation, RAMS, and safe

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience in an engineering/technical/operational role within a heavily regulated industry.
• Experience working within the Legacy Ponds Programme would be desirable.
• Understanding of the TDA framework would be desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop construction plans, schedules, and work programmes.
• Review design drawings, specs and technical documentation for constructability.
• Coordinate with designers, clients, subcontractors and project managers to clarify scope.
• Support cost estimates, bills of quantities, and resource plans.
• Provide day-to-day engineering support to the site team.
• Ensure activities align with drawings, standards, and procedures.
• Verify materials and workmanship meet specifications.
• Provide engineering input into progress reports, KPIs, and dashboards.
• Support RAMS preparation and review of HSEQ requirements.
• Maintain daily/weekly site records and progress tracking.
• Assist in change control with technical justification.
