Job summary

H&MV Engineering, a global leader in high-voltage electrical engineering, is seeking a High Voltage Electrical Project Engineer. This site-based role will plan, execute, and manage HV projects, ensuring delivery within scope, budget, and safety standards.

You will apply electrical engineering expertise to provide reliable, efficient solutions for clients. You will collaborate with design, engineering and project teams, lead weekly meetings, and coordinate with subcontractors.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.
• Minimum 5 years’ experience in delivering electrical engineering projects.
• Proficiency in electrical design software.
• Knowledge of high voltage electrical equipment and systems.
• Exceptional problem-solving skills and meticulous attention to detail.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Project management certification (e.g., PMP) is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with the design/engineering team & project manager to deliver project objectives, scope, and electrical requirements ahead of clients' expectations.
• Lead design and construction meetings and coordinate with the project team.
• Supervise subcontractor meetings and on-site interface, ensuring efficiency and safety.
• Manage material approvals and verify construction aligns with approved materials.
• Take over technical submittals from the lead engineer at construction phase.
• Attend and coordinate FATs with the Project Manager.
• Conduct daily site walks to monitor progress and address issues.
• Review installation against design specs and construction issue design pack.
• Raise QA/QC observations on Procore/ACC to track issues and close them out.
• Set up project ITPs and ensure completion as the project progresses.
• Create a project MS Teams page and upload weekly progress photos.
• Coordinate procurement of electrical materials and services; evaluate supplier proposals.

ABOUT THIS ROLE:

As a High Voltage Electrical Project Engineer at H&MV Engineering, you will leverage your electrical engineering expertise to plan, execute, and manage high voltage electrical projects. Your role will be instrumental in ensuring the successful completion of projects within scope, budget, and safety standards. You’ll have the opportunity to apply your electrical engineering knowledge to deliver reliable and efficient solutions for our clients. This is a site based role.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the design/engineering team & project manager to deliver the project objectives, scope, and electrical requirements ahead of clients expectations, maintaining H&MVs excellent reputation in delivering top class HV projects.
• Taking the construction issue designs through the construction phase and feeding back lessons learned to the design team weekly.
• Lead weekly design meetings and construction meetings.
• Lead subcontractor meetings & site interface – understand their scope and manage their efficiency on site.
• Manage the material approval requests and ensure construction is as per the approved materials.
• Take over the technical submittals from the lead engineer at the construction phase.
• Attend & coordinate FATs with the Project Manager.
• Daily construction site walks to monitor progress, address any subcontractor issues and ensure safety compliance.
• Review the installation against the design specifications & construction issue design pack.
• Raise all QA/QC observations on Procore (or ACC) to track site issues and ensure issues get closed out.
• Set up the project ITPs and ensure they are completed as the project progresses.
• Set up the MS Teams page for the project and upload weekly progress photos.
• Coordinate the procurement of electrical materials, equipment, and services needed for HV projects. Evaluate supplier proposals.
