Electrical Procurement Lead — Autonomy Systems

Job summary

SYOS Aerospace designs and manufactures advanced uncrewed systems across air, land, sea and subsurface domains. We are seeking an experienced Procurement Lead (Electrical) to drive day-to-day activities within our Electrical category for the Aviation business unit in the UK.

You will lead a small team, manage supplier networks, and work closely with Engineering, Production, Quality, Finance and Programme teams to ensure on-time, on-spec delivery while achieving cost targets.

Qualifications

• At least five years in procurement or supply chain roles.
• Electrical components knowledge incl. wiring, connectors, sub-assemblies and comms devices.
• Experience supervising a small team or coordinating workloads.
• Familiarity with ERP/MRP systems (NetSuite, SAP, MS Dynamics or Odoo).
• Understanding of BOMs and technical specifications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Electrical Procurement team and coordinate workloads.
• Oversee end-to-end procurement for the Electrical category.
• Develop supplier relationships and manage performance.
• Support sourcing strategy, RFx activities, negotiations, and cost reductions.
• Collaborate with Engineering and Production on BOMs and changes.
• Monitor supply risks, obsolescence, and delivery issues with suppliers and Quality.
• Maintain ERP/MRP data, KPI reporting, and compliance.
