Job summary

SYOS Aerospace UK is seeking an experienced Production Manager to lead our UK Air Production site. This hands-on leadership role ensures autonomous air vehicles are produced safely, efficiently, on time and to the highest quality standards, with daily management of production planning, people and resources.

You will collaborate with Engineering, Quality, Supply Chain and Project Management to translate production plans into reality, drive lean improvements and develop a culture of accountability

Qualifications

• Experience leading production, manufacturing or assembly ops in UK manufacturing.
• Experience in regulated/quality-focused manufacturing (aerospace/defence/electronics).
• Experience managing production schedules, priorities and KPIs.
• Strong people leadership coaching team leaders and operators.
• Understanding health, safety and environmental requirements.
• Experience using ERP/MRP for planning, materials control and routings.
• Strong continuous improvement and root-cause analysis background.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day production operation and ensure plans are delivered safely and on time.
• Create and communicate daily, weekly and monthly production schedules.
• Plan resources, labour, equipment and materials; drive SQDCM improvements.
• Coach and develop Production Team Leaders and shop-floor staff.
• Monitor output, efficiency, and KPIs; address deviations and issues.
• Collaborate with Quality, Manufacturing Engineering and Supply Chain.
• Support production readiness in changes and new product introductions.
