Job summary

Core Group is partnering with a well-established MEP contractor to appoint an Electrical Pre-Construction Engineer in London. This office-based role focuses on tender support, design coordination and bid submissions for commercial fit-out projects.

You will work with estimating, design and commercial teams to develop technical solutions, review drawings and ensure robust submissions. Hybrid working is available, with a clear progression path into pre-construction and project delivery.

Qualifications

• Experience with electrical building services installations.
• Ability to review drawings, specifications and technical documentation.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• Interest in progressing within pre-construction.

Responsibilities

• Review tender documentation and employer requirements.
• Assist in technical tender submissions and proposals.
• Support estimating with technical input and value engineering.
• Coordinate with consultants, suppliers and subcontractors during bids.
• Review electrical designs and identify cost-saving opportunities.
• Produce and manage submissions, RFIs and clarifications.
• Assist with procurement strategies and subcontractor engagement.
• Assess risks and opportunities in pre-construction.
• Coordinate information between pre-construction and delivery teams.
• Support handover activities after tender awards.
