Job summary

Elev8 Engineering Ltd in London is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead design across multiple projects within a growing building services consultancy. You will manage junior engineers and act as a main client contact, ensuring quality and timely delivery.

The role requires a minimum of 4 years in building services, a degree in electrical/building services, strong 2D AutoCAD skills and BIM tools experience, plus proficiency in IES, Amtech, Eplan, Dialux and PVSyst. Hybrid work is offered.

Qualifications

At least 4 years' experience as an electrical engineer in building services.
Experience supervising junior engineers and delegating work.
Confident 2D AutoCAD skills and experience with Revit or BIM tools.
Proficiency in design and analysis software such as IES, Amtech, Eplan, Dialux and PVSyst.
Experience with smart networks, IT infrastructure and security systems, plus awareness of fire design.
Graduate membership of CIBSE and/or the IET with CPD goals.

Responsibilities

Lead electrical design on multiple projects and coordinate with the external design team.
Carry out load calculations and size equipment and LV infrastructure.
Assess renewable options against sustainability targets and utility requirements.
Produce design packages including drawings, specs and schedules.
Visit site to verify construction against design and write inspection reports.
Mentor junior engineers and report workload and priorities to the line manager.
