Gattaca is seeking an Electrical Systems Engineer to help shape next‑gen electrical power architectures for aerospace platforms. You’ll work on power generation, distribution and conversion across multi‑MW scales in a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.
Responsibilities include system concept definition, model‑based studies, and technical leadership to deliver innovative, compliant solutions within regulated environments.
We're partnering with a leading UK engineering and technology organisation that is investing heavily in next-generation electrical power and propulsion systems for advanced aerospace applications.
As part of a growing technology development team, you'll play a key role in the research, design, modelling, validation and demonstration of innovative electrical power architectures ranging from low kW through to multi-MW platforms. This is a rare opportunity to work on cutting‑edge programmes that will influence the future of more‑electric and hybrid‑electric aerospace systems.
As an Electrical Systems Engineer, you will support the development of advanced electrical power generation and distribution technologies, contributing to the definition of future system architectures and technology strategies.
Working within highly collaborative multidisciplinary teams, you will be involved in concept development, system modelling, requirements definition, technology demonstration and technical leadership activities across complex engineering programmes.
We are keen to speak with professionals who have experience in complex electrical systems, ideally within aerospace, defence, power electronics, transport, marine, energy, or other highly regulated engineering environments.
Due to the nature of the work, applicants must be eligible to obtain UK Security Clearance (SC). Candidates will need to satisfy nationality and background screening requirements associated with security‑cleared positions.
