Job summary

JTL Training Centre London South in Orpington is seeking a Workshop Instructor to lead practical electrical and plumbing workshops, ensuring equipment is safe, maintained and ready for learning. You will work with Tutors to support high-quality workshop activity and assist with apprenticeship training when appropriately qualified.

We value experienced electricians who enjoy teaching others, with responsibilities including coaching, demonstrations and assisting with AM2S preparation.

Qualifications

• Must hold Level 2/3 Electrical Installation certificates.
• Current knowledge of BS 7671 Requirements for Electrical Installations.
• Experience in electrical training, coaching or instruction.
• Full driving license with access to a vehicle.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and maintain electrical and/or plumbing workshops and equipment.
• Provide technical and practical support to Tutors during sessions.
• Manage workshop stock, tools and calibration checks.
• Promote safety and COSHH compliance in workshops.
• Support apprenticeship training and short courses where qualified.
• Deliver assessment prep and AM2S readiness as required.
• Offer feedback to learners and track progress.
