Ernest Gordon Recruitment is helping a leading industrial manufacturer relocate an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to the Scottish Highlands. The role focuses on maintaining electrical systems across a large smelter-like facility and driving reliability initiatives.

You’ll work with transformers, switchgear, relays, motors and substations, ensuring safety and asset improvements, with a Monday-Thursday schedule and a Friday half-day. A strong industrial background is essential.

Relocation to Scottish Highlands

Are you an Electrical Engineer, with a background in heavy industry, looking to relocate to the picturesque Scottish Highlands, in a role that offers a lucrative benefits package on top of an excellent salary?

Would you like the opportunity to work with a specialist manufacturer that is one of Britain's longest standing smelters, situated at the foot of Ben Nevis? With a heritage spanning almost a century, the company produces high-quality, low-carbon aluminium using renewable hydroelectric power generated locally.

The key part of this role will be providing maintenance for electrical systems across the smelter. You will work with transformers, switchgear, protection relays, motors, VSDs, substations and industrial power systems. Alongside this you will be providing support for electrical safety, reliability and asset improvement initiatives.

This role would suit an Electrical Engineer, with a background in an industrial environment, who is looking to relocate to the Scottish Highlands.

The Role
