Job summary

Barry-Wehmiller is seeking a time-served Electrical Engineer to ensure our equipment is wired to a high standard and within agreed timelines. You will support the team in delivering an exceptional customer experience and continuous improvement.

You will read wiring diagrams, assemble back plates, perform safety checks, mentor apprentices, and assist with electrical maintenance in a manufacturing environment. Overtime evenings and weekends may be required.

Qualifications

• 3+ years' experience as an electrician, preferably in an Engineering background.
• Advanced NVQ Level 3 or equivalent Apprenticeship.
• Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
• Basic computer skills in Excel and Word.
• A self-starter with a 'can do' flexible attitude.

Responsibilities

• Comply with Health & Safety regulations and company policies.
• Assemble / wire control panel back plates and wire components to spec.
• Read and interpret electrical wiring diagrams, BOMs and specs.
• Perform earth, rotation, I/O checks on control panel wiring and fault finding.
• Sign off worksheets confirming quality checks.
• Assist with electrical maintenance of the facility and support apprentices.
