Job summary

MEP Pre-Construction Manager - Electrical is sought to lead electrical development for MEP packages from opportunity through handover. The role focuses on reducing technical risk, improving scope clarity and supporting a controlled handover to delivery teams.

Reporting to the Technical Services Director, the successful candidate will coordinate with commercial managers, estimators, consultants and contractors on a hybrid basis from Reading, with UK travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Experience in Electrical Building Services or Pre-Construction.
• Background in fit-out, refurbishment or technically complex projects.
• Strong understanding of electrical infrastructure, buildability and compliance.
• Experience reviewing electrical designs, contractor proposals and technical submissions.
• Knowledge of fire alarm, data, security, UPS and generators.
• Commercial awareness to identify scope gaps and risks.

Responsibilities

• Lead the electrical development of MEP packages from opportunity to contract handover.
• Review designs, drawings, specifications for compliance and buildability.
• Identify risks, exclusions and design responsibilities.
• Work with estimating teams to improve tender clarity and pricing certainty.
• Review contractor proposals, clarifications and compliance information.
• Prepare and lead pre-contract handovers with delivery teams.
