Job summary

TechMet Ltd. in Coleraine is seeking a Maintenance Engineer to perform electrical and mechanical maintenance across the site, with a focus on safety and reliability.

You will work a 14-shift month rota (7am-7pm / 7pm-7am) and ensure compliance with food-safety standards, quality, and housekeeping. Ideal candidates are time-served engineers with mechanical and electrical experience and NVQ Level 3, in a manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

• Ideally a time served engineer with mechanical and electrical experience.
• Minimum NVQ level 3.
• Experience working in a manufacturing environment.
• Free up/cross skilling courses.

Responsibilities

• Carry out electrical and mechanical maintenance, including preventative work and breakdown repairs.
• Ensure maintenance activities comply with Health & Safety requirements.
• Work with production teams to achieve plant efficiency targets.
• Maintain food safety standards during tasks.
• Manage stock levels and spare parts, and coordinate contractors.
• Create and update work instructions and risk assessments.
