Job summary

Morepeople 01780 is seeking an electrically biased Multi-Skilled Engineer to join a busy site in Boston, Lincolnshire. The role offers a £52,500 basic salary, a 4 on / 4 off days and nights pattern, and a permanent, full-time appointment on-site.

The engineer will handle electrical fault-finding, PLC-controlled machinery, and mechanical maintenance while supporting continuous improvement and reliability across production equipment.

Qualifications

• Level 3 Engineering qualification or equivalent.
• Strong electrical fault-finding skills.
• Experience with PLC-controlled machinery.
• Mechanical maintenance experience.
• Experience within manufacturing, FMCG, food production or another fast-paced production environment.
• Practical, hands-on approach to engineering.
• Ability to work independently and as part of an experienced engineering team.
• Flexibility to work a 4 on / 4 off days and nights pattern.

Responsibilities

• Responding to electrical and mechanical breakdowns.
• Electrical fault finding across production machinery.
• Fault finding on PLC-controlled equipment.
• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance.
• Diagnosing and repairing mechanical faults.
• Working with production teams to reduce downtime.
• Identifying recurring faults and improving equipment reliability.
• Completing maintenance records and engineering documentation.
• Supporting continuous improvement projects.
• Working safely and maintaining high engineering standards.
