Vested Talent is seeking an Electrical/Mechanical Design Engineer to join our power generation division in the UK. You will work on varied projects including standby power, UPS and CHP systems, delivering electrical and mechanical designs, drawings, and technical documentation.

The role offers a competitive salary (£45,000–£65,000 DOE) with a car allowance and benefits, plus a remote working option and a clear path for training and career development within a growing, respected engineering team.

Qualificações

• Engineering qualification or 3+ years' practical experience.
• Design experience with generator, fuel and electrical distribution systems.
• 2D AutoCAD experience and creating technical drawings.

Responsabilidades

• Design and drawings for electrical and mechanical systems.
• Produce CAD drawings and generator sizing, ventilation and acoustic designs.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, data sheets and testing documents.
• Provide technical support to project managers and internal teams.
• Support commissioning, testing and site activities as needed.

The role

You'll work on varied power generation projects, with responsibilities including:

• Design and Drawings – electrical and mechanical, including single line electrical drawings, control system layouts, electrical connections diagrams, fuel schematics.
• Producing CAD drawings.
• Working on generator sizing, ventilation and acoustic designs.
• Preparing & reviewing technical documentation, drawing, data sheets & testing documents.
• Providing technical expertise to project managers and internal teams.
• Supporting occasional commissioning, testing and site activities.

What we're looking for

An electrical or mechanical engineer with design experience, ideally within power generation or a related industry.

You'll bring:

• Relevant engineering qualifications or at least three years' practical experience.
• Design experience with generator systems, fuel systems and electrical distribution.
• 2D AUTO CAD skills and experience producing technical drawings.
• Knowledge of control systems, including PLC programming (desirable).
• Strong problem-solving skills and a collaborative approach.
• Experience 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be advantageous.
