Job summary

Vested Talent is seeking an Electrical & Mechanical Design Engineer for Power Generation with remote flexibility. You will design electrical and mechanical drawings, size generators, and contribute to control systems and documentation.

With 3+ years' experience, you will work on varied power-generation projects, collaborating across teams to deliver robust engineering solutions and ongoing career development in a supportive environment.

Qualifications

• Electrical or mechanical design experience in power generation or related field.
• 2D AutoCAD experience producing technical drawings.
• Knowledge of control systems and PLC programming is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Design electrical and mechanical drawings, including single-line diagrams and control layouts.
• Produce CAD drawings and contribute to generator sizing, ventilation and acoustics.
• Prepare and review technical documentation, drawings and data sheets.

The role as a Electrical & Mechanical Design Engineer:

You’ll work on varied power generation projects, with responsibilities including:

• Design and Drawings electrical and mechanical, including single line electrical drawings, control system layouts, electrical connections diagrams, fuel schematics.
• Producing CAD drawings.
• Working on generator sizing, ventilation and acoustic designs.
• Preparing & reviewing technical documentation, drawing, data sheets & testing documents.
• Providing technical expertise to project managers and internal teams.
• Supporting occasional commissioning, testing and site activities.

What we’re looking for:

An electrical or mechanical engineer with design experience, ideally within power generation or a related industry.

You’ll bring:

• Relevant engineering qualifications or at least three years' practical experience.
• Design experience with generator systems, fuel systems and electrical distribution.
• 2D AUTO CAD skills and experience producing technical drawings.
• Knowledge of control systems, including PLC programming (desirable).
• Strong problem–solving skills and a collaborative approach.

Experience 17th/18th Edition Wiring Regulations would be advantageous.
