Job summary

Kinetic plc in Horwich seeks an Electrically biased Maintenance Technician to service PLC controlled production lines within a clean, safety‑driven environment. You'll troubleshoot faults, plan preventative maintenance and support the installation of new equipment on site.

You should bring time-served apprenticeship or Electrical Engineering qualifications, with strong manufacturing experience and ability to work on hydraulic and pneumatic systems, plus fault finding on robotic equipment.

Qualifications

Electrical engineering qualification or time-served apprenticeship.
Significant experience in manufacturing environments.
Proven experience with repair, maintenance and process improvement.
Experience maintaining and fault-finding PLC controlled and robotic equipment.
Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
Pro-active improvements from preventive maintenance findings.

Responsibilities

Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of high-volume PLC controlled production equipment.
Planning and performing equipment preventive maintenance.
Improvement and modification of assembly/test equipment and transfer systems.
Service and maintenance of electrical and mechanical site services/plant.
Supporting the installation of new equipment.
