Job summary

The Symphony Group Plc is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician for our Barnsley site on a full-time, permanent basis. You will maintain production equipment to run safely, efficiently and reliably, delivering high-quality maintenance support across plant systems and machinery.

The role requires a strong background in machine repair, planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and problem solving. You will work with site contractors and remote service engineers to minimise downtime and keep

Qualifications

• Minimum 4 years of industrial maintenance experience.
• NVQ Level 3 (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
• Experience in fast-paced engineering/manufacturing environments.
• Ability to work a 4-shift rota.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repairs on production plant and equipment.
• Carry out planned and preventative maintenance (PPM) to minimise downtime.
• Communicate with on-site contractors and remote service engineers.
• Diagnose and resolve machine breakdowns swiftly and effectively.
• Fault find on mechanical systems such as gearboxes.
• Understand pneumatic and hydraulic circuits.
• Maintain accurate CMMS records and reports.
• Manage and monitor stock levels of critical parts and equipment.
• Mentor apprentices.
