Job summary

Kinetic plc in Horwich, England, is seeking a Maintenance Technician with an electrical bias to join our automotive supply chain site. The role covers troubleshooting, planned maintenance and upgrades on PLC controlled lines, with training on brand new equipment in a clean room environment.

You will work a rotating shift pattern (06:00-14:00, 14:00-22:00, 22:00-06:00) and contribute to continuous improvements, supporting installation of new equipment and small capital projects.

Qualifications

• Ideally electrical engineering qualifications to back up experience.
• Time served apprenticeship is preferred.
• Significant experience within manufacturing environments.
• Proven experience in repair, maintenance and process improvement.
• Ideally experienced in maintenance and fault finding on PLC controlled and robotic equipment.
• Experience maintaining hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Pro-actively identifies and suggests improvements based on maintenance findings.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshooting, repair and maintenance of high-volume PLC controlled production equipment.
• Planning and performing equipment preventative maintenance.
• Improvement and modification of assembly/test equipment and transfer systems.
• Service and maintenance of electrical and mechanical site services/plant.
• Supporting the installation of new equipment.
• Pro-actively identifies and suggests improvements based on preventive maintenance and fault finding.
• Understanding of preventative maintenance schedules.
