Job summary

Georgia‑Pacific in Darlington, SC is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join the shift electrical team. The Technician will perform corrective and preventive maintenance on electronic and electrical systems for high‑volume manufacturing equipment including plate forming presses, automated packaging machinery, and industrial printing presses.

The role supports operating teams to troubleshoot, repair, and resolve issues on shift with the aim of improving equipment reliability and

Qualifications

High school diploma or GED required.
Electrical technical degree or 5+ years' experience as Industrial Electrician preferred.
Experience with maintenance planning, parts procurement, and documenting work activities.
Experience with single and 3‑phase electrical repair up to 480V.
Experience entering and updating work orders in a CMMS.
Experience troubleshooting electrical controls, PLCs, AC/DC motor controllers, and drives.

Responsibilities

Execute planned and unplanned maintenance on manufacturing assets (printing presses, plate presses, conveyors, robots, automated case packing/stacking equipment).
Inspect, troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical and/or controls problems per plant policy.
Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair equipment failures and other issues.
