Our Prudhoe manufacturing site houses two paper machines, seven converting lines, and a recycling plant. Converting lines turn semi-finished goods manufactured by the paper machines into finished products for dispatch to various customers. The site operates 24/7, producing products for the consumer goods market with Cushelle and Velvet as two of our leading brands.

About the Role

We have a vacancy for an Electrical Maintenance Technician working 12-hour shifts on a 4-on/6-off and 4-on/4-off pattern. This is a shift-based, permanent position that supports your work-life balance.

This role involves ensuring that breakdowns, stops, and efficiency issues on shift are resolved effectively and promptly to meet the factory's operational needs across all departments, including papermaking, deinking, converting, logistics, and services. It offers an excellent opportunity to develop skills across various machine areas with a wide range of electrical equipment.

What You Will Do

You will assist in preventing equipment failures through root cause analysis and implementing solutions, provide safety recommendations to address electrical hazards, and promote a preventative maintenance culture within our shift teams. You will also participate in projects aimed at increasing efficiency and continuous improvement, always prioritizing safety and adhering to company standards.

Who You Are

You have completed a recognized apprenticeship, possess strong electrical skills, and have developed diagnostic and analytical abilities in a high-volume manufacturing environment. You are capable of prioritizing tasks, are self-motivated, proactive, reliable, and flexible. Your commitment to safety and continuous improvement is evident. Ideally, you hold a Higher National Certificate in Electrical Engineering or equivalent, with experience in maintenance and fault-finding on process control, inverter drive systems, and Siemens PLCs.
