Qualifications

• Minimum NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering required.

Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Location: We are seeking an Electrical Maintenance Technician to join our busy maintenance team. This is a full-time permanent position at our factory in Pencoed, South Wales, and you will be working a Days regular pattern.

What you will be doing:

1. Carrying out the maintenance and repair of electrical equipment
2. Ensuring the electrical equipment within the job holder’s area of responsibility performs to targeted levels of reliability
3. Fault finding on electrical systems that include but not limited to Siemens PLC’s, SCADA Systems, AC/DC motors and frequency drives
4. Evaluating and modifying group and company standard electrical and process drawings and implementing improvements on electrical, mechanical and process issues
5. Using SAP plant maintenance system to deliver agreed planned maintenance programme
6. Occasionally covering the Shift Electrician’s when required
7. Working on a variety of engineering related projects in line with the maintenance strategy
8. Utilising problem solving techniques to identify the root cause of issues, and implementing corrective actions
9. Carrying out all responsibilities in line with the ROCKWOOL Way

What you bring:

1. Apprenticeship in Electrical Engineering (Minimum NVQ Level 3)
2. Experienced in maintenance, planned and reactive, of industrial machinery in a manufacturing, industrial or automated environment
3. Proactive and logical approach to problem solving
4. Experience and good understanding of AC/DC Motors and Frequency Drives
5. Familiar with Siemens PLC driven machinery
6. Experience with SCADA Packages (WinCC)
7. Good understanding of safety systems and equipment.
8. Good understanding of instrumental control
