Job summary

Breedon Group plc is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Planner to join the Operations and Maintenance team at Hope Cement Works in Derbyshire. You will develop and schedule electrical maintenance plans, including preventative work and major repairs, ensuring safe, timely completion.

You’ll coordinate with maintenance, operations and stores to secure resources, materials and critical spares, and you will help drive reliability improvements across the site.

Qualifications

• HNC/HND in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong knowledge of preventative, predictive and reliability-centred maintenance principles.
• Experience using a CMMS, ideally IBM Maximo.
• Experience planning major repairs, shutdowns and maintenance projects.
• Knowledge of contractor management and health and safety legislation.
• Strong organisational, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Supervisory or coordination experience.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; MS Project desirable.
• Self-motivated with a proactive approach and continuous improvement mindset.

Responsibilities

• Promote and comply with health, safety and environmental standards.
• Ensure safe working practices by employees and contractors.
• Manage contractors in line with CDM requirements and site procedures.
• Plan and schedule maintenance activities using IBM Maximo CMMS.
• Lead maintenance planning for repairs, shutdowns and outages.
• Support the Electrical Engineering team in permit to work for major repairs.
• Manage critical spare parts and asset management strategies.
• Create and maintain maintenance job plans and BOMs.
• Support reliability through proactive maintenance and improvements.
• Contribute to CAPEX project planning and delivery.
• Assist budget planning and cost control.
• Manage external maintenance service agreements.
• Collaborate with Maintenance, Reliability and Operations teams.
