Hunter Selection is seeking an electrically biased Maintenance Engineer for a Hyde-based role. You will perform preventative maintenance, diagnose and fix electrical and mechanical faults, and support continuous improvement initiatives within a skilled engineering team.

The role offers a Monday–Friday pattern with no nights or weekends, plus overtime, pension, training and 28 days holiday. A recognised engineering apprenticeship and IPC qualifications underpin your work, with long-term career

Formación

• Recognised Engineering Apprenticeship and Level 3 qualification in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
• Strong fault-finding experience across both electrical and mechanical systems.
• Knowledge of PLC-controlled equipment, hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
• Familiarity with Continuous Improvement methodologies such as Kaizen, 5S or Six Sigma.
• Positive attitude with the ability to work effectively within a team environment.
• Experience within a fast-paced manufacturing or production setting.

Responsabilidades

• Carrying out planned preventative maintenance and responding to breakdowns across a range of production equipment
• Diagnosing and repairing electrical and mechanical faults to minimise downtime
• Working closely with the Maintenance Manager and wider engineering team
• Supporting continuous improvement and reliability projects across site
• Assisting with machinery upgrades, installations and process improvements
• Contributing to a proactive maintenance culture focused on performance and efficiency
• Ensuring all work is completed in line with health and safety standards
