Job summary

Pioneer Selection Ltd is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a Gainsborough site on a permanent, Monday-to-Friday straight-days basis.

You will mainly perform planned maintenance, diagnose electrical faults, and implement root-cause solutions to reduce downtime, joining an established engineering team with a focus on reliability and safe operation.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or completed electrical apprenticeship.
• Electrically biased maintenance background.
• Experience in manufacturing, factory, or heavy industrial environment.
• Strong electrical fault-finding and diagnostic skills.

Responsibilities

• Carry out planned preventative maintenance (PPM) across plant and process equipment.
• Diagnose and repair electrical breakdowns across site machinery.
• Perform electrical installation, modification, and repair work.
• Identify repeat faults and contribute to continuous improvement and reliability projects.
• Log maintenance activities, asset history, and parts used on a CMMS.

Shift: Monday to Friday - 7:30am to 4:00pm (Straight Days)

Job Role of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

An exciting opportunity has opened for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer to join a continuous process, heavy industrial manufacturing site in Gainsborough.

This is a permanent, Monday-to-Friday straight-days position focused on completing planned preventative maintenance (PPM) and improving plant reliability. You will be joining an established engineering team where your core focus will be maintaining industrial plant machinery, diagnosing electrical faults, and driving root-cause solutions to reduce downtime.

This role offers an exceptional work-life balance on a stable day shift with an early finish, making it ideal for an experienced engineer looking to step away from unsociable shift patterns and weekend rotas.

Non-Negotiable Requirements of the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Engineering or a completed electrical apprenticeship.

Desirable Requirements for the Electrical Maintenance Engineer

• PLC fault-finding or interrogation experience.

• 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.

• Working knowledge of industrial instrumentation, sensors, and motor drives.

• Experience with CMMS systems (such as SAP or similar).

• Experience in heavy industrial, process, chemicals, metals, or continuous manufacturing environments.
