Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited has a vacancy for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Industrial) in Chester. The role offers £50,000–£55,000 with OTE up to £65,000, plus training, progression, healthcare and death in service pay, on rotating shifts.

You will fault-find, diagnose and repair industrial equipment including furnaces, conveyors and PLC-controlled systems, with opportunities to contribute to preventative maintenance in a long-established UK manufacturer.

Qualifications

• Industrial Electrical Maintenance experience required.
• Experience fault finding, diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery.
• Experience with PLCs and PLC-controlled systems.
• Willing to rotate shifts and commute to Chester area.

Responsibilities

• Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery such as furnaces, conveyors, casting machines and mixers.
• Perform preventive maintenance to minimise breakdowns and ensure PLC-driven systems run reliably.
• Carry out mechanical repairs including pumps, gears, bearings and hydraulics when needed.
• Work on rotating shift schedule with shift allowance.

Electrical Maintenance Engineer (Industrial)

Are you an Electrical Maintenance Engineer from an industrial background with experience working with PLC's looking to join Britains leading lead manufacturer offering a chance to work on a wide range of equipment and shift allowance on every shift to boost your income?

This company is one of the UK's leading suppliers of sheet lead and lead components supplying to a wide range of industries such as Nuclear, Defence, Healthcare and Construction. After continued growth, this is a chance to join a reputable business that's been going for 200 years with over 100 employees.

In this role you will be fault finding, diagnosing and repairs industrial machinery including but not limited to; furnaces, casting machines, conveyors and mixers within a factory environment. You will perform PPM to minimise breakdowns and service PLC controlled systems while adhering to company safety standards. Their will also be an element of mechanical repairs including pumps, gearbox's, bearings and hydraulics.

This role would suit an Industrial Electrical Maintenance Engineer that has experience on servicing and programming PLC's looking to join a well-established company that value employee progression and safety.

The Role:

• Fault finding, diagnosing and repairing industrial machinery
• Working on furnaces, conveyors, casting machines, extraction systems, crushers and mixers.
• Mechanical repairs of motors, drives, gearbox's. pumps, valves and hydraulics
• Rotating shift schedule Mon-Fri (6am-14pm then 14pm-22pm)
• 25% shift allowance on every shift
