Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR in the United Kingdom seeks an experienced Electrical Maintenance Engineer for our Sheffield site. You will be responsible for day-to-day engineering and maintenance across presses, furnaces, and packaging lines, performing within a structured preventative maintenance program to uphold the highest standards.

The role operates 8:00am–4:30pm Mon-Wed, 8:00am–3:30pm Thu, and 8:00am–12:00pm Fri.

Qualifications

• Apprentice-trained electrical engineer with hands-on maintenance
• Experience with PLCs and automated machinery
• Understanding of preventive maintenance (PPM) systems

Responsibilities

• Responsible for day-to-day electrical maintenance and engineering activities across machinery, presses, furnaces, and packaging lines
• Work within a structured preventive maintenance program to ensure high standards
• Ability to work on multiple electrical systems and related mechanical tasks with minimal supervision

The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for all aspects of day-to-day engineering and maintenance activities ensuring work is carried out to the highest standards, working on several electrical areas within a machinery, presses, furnaces, grinding machinery, packaging machinery, PLC systems, lighting and power outlets, and all portable equipment, working with equipment such as Thermo formers, Injection moulding machinery, bearings, cylinders, robotics, and labellers. The ideal candidate will come from a manufacturing engineering background and should be able to work on their own initiative, be a time served engineer with a mechanical bias. On a day to day basis, you may be involved in general mechanical work such as milling turning, grinding, welding, pneumatics, hydraulics, gearboxes other manufacturing machinery, all within a structured PPM system. There is a huge amount of training on offer, so the successful candidate will be in line to broaden their skills considerably.
