Ganymede Solutions Limited is seeking an experienced Electrical Bias Maintenance Engineer to support its food production facility on the Isle of Bute. This is an initial 3-month contract offering hands-on maintenance, fault troubleshooting, and reliability improvements.

The role requires PLC fault finding with ladder logic, a 70/30 electrical-to-mechanical balance, and the ability to work independently. Accommodation and ferry costs are provided by the client.

Qualifications

• Electrically qualified engineer with strong electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience with PLCs, automation and ladder logic fault finding.
• Food manufacturing or FMCG experience is advantageous.

Responsabilités

• Perform hands-on electrical and mechanical maintenance on production equipment.
• Diagnose electrical faults and support PLC fault finding with ladder logic when possible.
• Troubleshoot automation systems to resolve production issues.
• Identify improvements to equipment reliability and performance.
• Assist with planned preventive maintenance scheduling.
• Collaborate with engineering team and leadership to improve maintenance processes.
• Proactively identify problems and add value to the site.
