Job summary

Michael Page is recruiting a Multiskilled Engineer (Electrical bias) for a Pontefract FMCG site to maintain and repair production equipment, ensuring lines run smoothly and downtime is minimized.

The role requires reading electrical drawings, applying 17th/18th Edition knowledge, and performing preventative maintenance in a fast-moving environment. A 4 on, 4 off day pattern is offered with daytime hours.

Qualifications

• Apprentice or time served desirable.
• Able to read electrical drawings and follow regulations.
• Electrical bias with fault-finding skills and adherence to safety.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and repair factory equipment to keep production running smoothly.
• Respond to breakdowns quickly and complete associated paperwork.
• Carry out pre-start checks and daily machine observation.
• Identify failures or deterioration and implement solutions or brief management.
• Follow Health and Safety and Food Hygiene policies and record audit work.
• Prevent downtime through planned maintenance and monitor hazards on shift.
