Job summary

Andrews Recruitment Group is seeking an Electrical Maintenance Engineer for a 12-hour shift at our Tilbury site in Essex. The permanent role offers £45,000-£50,000 plus bonus and excellent benefits, working 42 hours per week (days and nights on a rotating pattern).

You will maintain automated production machinery, perform planned and reactive maintenance, and fault-find across electrical systems, motors and PLC-controlled equipment.

Qualifications

• Recognised electrical apprenticeship or equivalent training.
• Strong industrial electrical maintenance experience.
• Experience maintaining automated production machinery.
• Good fault-finding ability.
• Experience with motors and motor control.
• Inverter drive / VFD experience.
• Knowledge of contactors and control circuits.
• 17th or 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
• Experience of planned and reactive maintenance.
• Comfortable in a production/process environment.

Responsibilities

• Keep production equipment electrically reliable and available site-wide.
• Plan and perform preventative maintenance on production machinery.
• Respond to reactive electrical breakdowns and faults.
• Fault find across automated plant and control systems.
• Manage motors, contactors, and inverter drives replacements.
• Support PLC-controlled machinery and recording maintenance activity in CMMS.
• Collaborate with production and engineering teams to improve plant reliability.
• Maintain high electrical safety and compliance standards.
