Job summary

Questech is recruiting on behalf of our client in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire for an Electrical Maintenance Engineer. The role involves reactive and planned maintenance in a fast-paced textile manufacturing facility, with emphasis on safe, efficient repairs and documentation.

The position operates a continental shift pattern (4 on/4 off) with 12-hour days & nights. Salary ranges between £47,000 and £50,000 per year, depending on experience.

Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 (Apprentice Trained) required.
• Experience in a manufacturing environment.
• Proficient written, numerical and verbal skills.

Responsibilities

• Reactive maintenance to minimise downtime and keep production running safely.
• Attend breakdowns promptly and perform quality repairs.
• Carry out regular maintenance programmes and complete paperwork.
• Plan preventative maintenance in line with site schedule.
• Coordinate with other departments to minimise operational impact.
• Ensure all work complies with Quality, Safety, Health & Environment policies.
