Job summary

Ernest Gordon Recruitment Limited is seeking a Maintenance Engineer (Electrical) in Abergavenny. The role involves performing planned and reactive maintenance on a range of bespoke machinery on a large industrial site, with opportunities for overtime and a structured double-days shift.

Ideal candidates will have industrial maintenance experience, work with 3‑phase motors, PLCs, drives, and related controls; further training will be provided if needed.

Qualifications

• Maintenance engineering experience in an industrial/manufacturing setting.
• Experience with 3-phase motors, drives and PLCs is advantageous.

Responsibilities

• Perform planned and reactive maintenance on machinery and equipment.
• Work on 3-phase motors, drives, sensors, and PLC fault finding.
• Further training provided through specific courses if needed.
• Rotating double-day shift: 5:30am–2pm and 1:30pm–10pm.
• Overtime paid at 1.5x; Sundays at 2x.
